Barisan takes over Perak govt

I really wished that I would stay away from making political comments, but I couldn't because I was baffled beyond belief.

This sudden takeover would be an eye-opener not only to the Perakian people, but the Malaysian community as a whole. It is to be emphasised that it was not the outcome of the takeover that created the turmoil, but the process in achieving it.

How? A series of party-jumping where the finish line is to let the other side taking over the ruling government. Well, let's see how it all started and the events that succeeded it:

1) 25 Jan 09 - One UMNO assemblyman decided to join PKR

2) 26 Jan 09 - Two PKR assemblyman went 'missing'

*but they promised they won't join BN

3) 2 Feb 09 - One DAP assemblywoman went 'missing' as well

* also promised that she won't join BN

4) 4 Feb 09 - The PKR assemblymen and the DAP assemblywoman quit their parties and decided to support BN. The UMNO assemblyman who joined PKR decided to 'repent' and went back to his former party.


This cliffhanger was the first step in allowing the confusion, the bickering, the blame game and whatnot which is indeed, disgraceful. Finally, BN announced that they are ready for the takeover. New MB will be appointed while the former MB decided not to resign yet. Voila, this historical event marks the first time a state is ruled under two MBs. This is a good news...isn't it? 

Come on people...this is really messed up. The UMNO assemblyman who joined PKR declared that he will not join his former party no matter what is going to happen. In the end, he betrayed his own words.

Prior to that, a few days after he joined PKR, there were loud uproars from the leaders to allow a law against party hopping. They promised that this law will be devised and implemented as soon as possible. But then after they received new support from the defected assemblymen, the promises faded into oblivion.

In the meantime, the two PKR assemblymen were accused of graft and being investigated by the BPR. The investigations began before they went 'missing'. Again, when they joined BN, these accusations and investigations were totally obliterated.

Anwar, who was the first to greet the defected UMNO assemblyman, was totally clueless when the assemblyman went back to his former party. He was speechless ever since. This angered a lot of Pakatan Rakyat leaders, especially DAP who blamed him for being hypocritical.

I'm no politician, and my knowledge about it is still shallow. If you ask me, I myself is not so sure where this leads to. But I sure know that when it involves the people's trusts and confidence, resigning from a party without giving up the parliamentary seat is not as simple as changing a baby's diapers. I wonder how would they stand the ignominy of betraying their own people.

What are they going to explain to the people who voted them? Why don't they change their party before the general election? Why only resign from the party but not the parliamentary seat as well?

This turmoil shouldn't be happening at all. Instead of bad-mouthing and subverting the leaders from the other party, they should sit together and discuss on solving matters of higher importance, which is obviously the war in Gaza. Malaysia was the OIC and NAM chairman. Therefore we should have a clear stand against the war in Gaza. But what the heck are they doing right now? Arguing over which party should rule a state, which they already have the other states in Malaysia. Seriously, does it really matter?

This is why I really despise Malaysian political scene. It is plain silly, immature, and at times, atrocious.

I saw a movie where the last and the strongest bad-ass guy told the heroes the only way to kill him. The good guys have no clue whatsoever prior to that. Finally, the bad guy died in utmost regret about 20 seconds after that.

Err...must be sucks to be the script writer.

Then after reading the whole story, now there are a few questions circling on my mind right now like :

1) Saw my profile? Wait...I know sometimes I just mindlessly register on god-knows-what social networking websites. So, I wonder where this woman saw me....

2) Relocate to this country? Why ask me...I'm not the ambassador

3) Be your guardian? Oh no...I can't even cook. Furthermore she is 17 years older than me.

4) Give directions to this country? Use Google Maps lahhhhhhhhh

And the ultimate question was...is this a spam? At first glance, it doesn't sound too spammy to me. It's very plain and straightforward and it's obviously like a person who needs a friend who can help her.

So I decided to Google it.

Ya' know, I've been having this itchy-witchy feeling on my crotch starting from last week.

And...uh huh....ya guessed it right. Scratching it was onehelluva good sensation.

And...the itchiness went more intense and that urged me to....SCRATCH like a tiger...MEOW!!! Oh yeah!

Until yesterday I noticed that there were redness on my lo....err...the picture tells everything.

It's a fungal infection!

ps: lucky it's not the Lyme disease! (Yikes!)

Sharlinie : Putting In My Two Cents' Worth

Only about 4 months ago, our country was edged off the rocks with one of the most sadistic child murder ever happened in history. The tremors have not simmered with the killer(s) is still on the loose, and yet another helpless girl was missing, much reliving the horror of every parents with children under their arms.

I understand, that children are very vulnerable and easily become the prey of predators, especially when they are alone or not under the observation of adults. It’s very disheartening to see that cases of child abuses often happens. Past records tells that they will go missing, and a few days after doing massive searches, they are found dead ; in the lakes, rivers, bushes, and many disgraceful places which are far from the eyes of the public.

When I was a child, maybe around 7 or 8 years old, I remembered clearly about a case of a chinese boy who was kidnapped when he was waiting for his father to fetch him up. He was reportedly to be persuaded by an unknown man to follow him into a car, and drove the innocent child into obscurity. He was seen by his fellow schoolmates, and they all believed that the man was his father. I’m not very sure about the boy’s fate until now, but in my personal opinion, he never returned. After listening to the news, I was scared. Very scared. I sat down alone on the floor and faces the wall. I thought a lot of things at that time.

If I was the one who was kidnapped, will my parents come to rescue me fast enough before my hands were tugged away from their grasp? If I was the one who was kidnapped, how long will the kidnappers allow me to stay alive? Are they going to torture me to death? I cried a few minutes after that.

I bet most of us have forgotten about Allahyarhamah Nurul Huda Abdul Ghani, aged 10 years old. She was missing at first, but found dead a few days later. Autopsy revealed that she was raped then killed. 3 rapists were caught, and they were actually security guards! The news took the country by a storm at that moment. Then there were a lot of hoo haa by parents outraged by the security guards whom they put their trust to provide them security from criminals. I myself was disgusted that these animals work as security guards, while they themselves broke the safetiness of the public. A lot of similar cases occurred prior to the death of Nurul Huda. Nur Shuhada, 6 years old, found dead in the water tank located at the top floor of her family’s apartment half naked with bruises all over her body. Siti Syazwani, 9 years old, found dead about 100 metres away from her home, believed to be raped and killed while walking home from an Al-Quran recitation class.

I don’t think that such cases as Nurin Jazlin and Sharlinie would occur once in every few months. There must be a lot of other children went missing but unfortunate enough to gain the spotlights of the mass media. I’m wondering why Madeleine McCann is the only missing child who gained worldwide attention while thousands other are not treated in the same way? Why only her? Does this means that the media in our country also practices double standard?

Whenever I stumbled upon this sort of news, this particular thought always crosses my mind ; Malaysia is not a safe country anymore? Is this the country that we are so proud of living in? The country that we are born in? The country that we stood with our own two feet on its grounds?

The rapes, the murders, killings, thefts. We see them everyday. If you leaf through the pages of the newspapers, I believe that there will be at least one full page to fit these sort of news in each of the issue. Probably after reading a news of a woman get slashed by a gang of thieves, we would shout “Oh my god!”. The next day, we wouldn’t even remember why the woman was featured in yesterday’s news.

Anybody realized that what they’re saying are just empty words that lead us to nowhere except running in a vicious circle? After the horrible death of Nurin Jazlin, there were various suggestions that a child safety network should be implemented as soon as possible to avoid any similar cases from happening again. Good. I can see the willingness of the public to conserve the faith and belief in our mind that crimes should be prevented. Too bad, about 4 months after a lot of talking and talking, another girl suffered the same fate as Nurin. What happened then? Rushes of panicky people here and there, surprised and unprepared for another case while the former is yet unresolved. It’s either they don’t have enough time or they’re just ‘hangat-hangat tahi ayam’.

These issues are so pervasive that our conscious heart have taken it for granted. Sympathies are slowly consumed by apathies, fortified by our own selfishness. It is a disease that most of us didn’t realize, most probably never. WE need to ponder about it seriously.

Where Is Sharlinie?

This child went missing on 9th of January 2008. We, as compassionate Malaysians should pray for her total safety and hope that she will return to her family's embrace once again.

Reflections part 1

Isn't it usual, when a group of of people become friends, when the time comes for them to walk their own path, at least they wanted to spend their time together, celebrating the friendship bonded between them.

I'm talking about the exams...

Yes, I was really looking forward to spend my time together with my friends, after the hard work we'd been studying together, and along the process we played, joked and went on our usual ways which makes each one of us special and easily remembered.

I planned a lot of things even before the exam ended.

Watching movies, work our own way to the endings of a few video games, 'TV episodes' marathon, futsal, dota, and most importantly, eat eat eat together.

Nonetheless, everything depends on god's will...

After the exams, I missed the trip to Port Dickson. That was a hard blow.

I couldn't go there because my uncles and aunts are going to Mekah for pilgrimage. What can I do, since family is more important than friends...

Everything went awry from there on. I had to leave a day after they came from PD. And some of them are leaving earlier, and I'm not going to attend the Corroboree.

I don't have much time left...

To cut things short :

* Kay, his FarCry game has yet to reach its end.
* Then, the Prison Break marathon with Zahin, only went as far as the fifth episode.
* Botbot, I wanted to copy a piece of your humongous anime collection, but time was too restricting.
* Syami, what happened to our Sakaki Makio? We haven't yet known whether he will graduate or not.
* Acis and Frendy, sorry we couldn't nuclear bomb everyone in Civilization 4 game as we arranged earlier.
* Although it's kinda rare to see the likes of Epul nowadays, we haven't yet sat side by side watching a WWE pay-per-view and guess who'll win the heavyweight championship.
* Heck, I even downloaded a lot (and I mean it) of horror movies to watch with Radhzlan, but where is he when I need him?
* Syed, sorry for I forgotten to burn the Virtua Tennis 3 cd and I even left u wondering how the heck I could download a movie without using torrent.
* I also had something very cool to show to Atif, but yet he left so early I didn't even notice it.
* Az, I thought of bringing my gamepad and show my skills in a football match in Winning Eleven.

My god....there were waaaayy too many misses...

I wouldn't want this to happen, but, I still had a chance for futsal with some (although I really hoped that everyone would come) of the regulars. It's fun, and this probably will be one of the few important things that I would remember for a long time. Then I received a gift from a friend, and some o' the boys accompanied me getting off from Ridzuan. I was really glad for that. To be the very least, I won't feel that lonely.

It's not easy to handle disappointments. Especially when one comes after another. It's like falling from a stairs, where you will receive one hit on each step. In the end, you will feel pain all over your body.

And, now I understand why people always say that...time is precious.
